Dr. Mitchell was raised in Zachary (close to Baton Rouge), Louisiana. She graduated with a B.S. here at Northwestern State and later went on to attend optometry school at Oklahoma College of Optometry. She recently completed her ocular disease residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Mitchell is recently married (as of 6/2019) to Jeremy Mitchell who is proudly serving in the National Guard. In her spare time, Dr. Mitchell loves playing with her 6-year-old dog Ace, who is an Australian Shepherd. She also loves binge watching shows on Netflix! The Mitchell’s are proud New Orleans Saints fans!
